Deep Tissue Techniques Reduces Compression of the Sciatic Nerve
"Deep-tissue techniques proved an effective means to reduce compression of the sciatic nerve by surrounding muscles.” And “In conjunction with deep-tissue techniques, adjunct modalities that proved most effective were: resisted PNF stretches of the iliotibial band; PRT movements to increase range of motion at the hip and decompress client’s coxofemoral joint; and somatic education to bring awareness to patterns of movement that create a dynamic which resulted in compression of joints and congestion in muscles."

Massage Therapy Soothes Patients Undergoing Chemotherapy
Massage Therapy led to large, immediate reductions in the pain, anxiety, and depression of a patient undergoing chemotherapy for the treatment of breast cancer. Marked improvements in sleep patterns were also documented, along with a reduction in fatigue. Note, In any case of cancer, whether current or in remission, a doctor’s note is imperative before adding any new treatments.
